Some of you may be wondering what the heck this whole “Grandé Online” business is all about.
Basically, it is a larger, expanded version of our Grassroots print publication and it is only available online.
With the rising costs of producing print products, with the still existing challenges of our economy and with the ever evolving world of technology, creating the Grandé Online was a step we at the Gateway Gazette took to better serve our readers and our advertisers.
We are fortunate that we have a wonderful readership who love to share their information and articles with us. The challenge that we have always faced is not having enough room in every print edition to include everything that is sent to us - and we hate leaving things out. Sometimes we are able to hold pieces over for the next edition but that’s not always the best course of action.
By introducing the Grandé Online we are now able to publish everything that is submitted to us, in a more suitable time frame, as our online edition is not restricted by page count considerations in anyway - we can increase in increments of 1 page at a time as needed without any problem. We can also spread our advertisers out so that there are less ads on every page, making room for more content and better exposure for each ad.
We do understand that reading online is not for everyone, but it is becoming an increasingly popular practice for many.
So as time goes on you will notice more and more reference within our Grassroots print edition to our Grandé Online and we hope that you will play a part in growing its popularity by spreading the word.
