The Oilfields Curling Club, in conjunction with the Turner Valley Legion, hosted the Little Brown Jug, Mixed Curling Bonspiel, November 18th to 20th. This was the 10th anniversary of the bonspiel.
The dinner and dance was held at the Legion. The kitchen staff out did themselves, once again producing a fantastic dinner which was enjoyed by all. The Tune Crew kept everyone hopping to their tunes. Boy, what energy those two put out, an awesome show which made for a great evening.
About the curling…..
There were many hard fought games. But once the rocks came to a halt and the dust settled and the score was counted up, the standings looked like this:
“A” Event winner was the Keenan team from the Oilfields Curling Club.
“B” Event winner was the Jackson team, also from Oilfields Curling Club.
Congratulations, to this year's winners and a heartfelt thank you to all those people who worked so hard to make this year's event such a resounding success.
We would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the generous support that we have again received from our area businesses. Thank you so very much! Our grateful appreciation goes out to you:
