The Life of A Scientific Artist

There is now scientific proof that thoughts can actually create physical manifestations or events. Think about the implications! Here's an example: if you've ever imagined that you 'will eventually get caught speeding', you've already imagined the officer pulling you over. This is all that is needed to create the event. I repeat, there is proof of this! Along the same lines, if 'misery loves company' and the reward for being miserable is to acquire company, then the misery perpetuates itself. So, on the flip side, if you: 'laugh, and the world laughs with you,' you are also acquiring company to laugh alongside you.

Despite all this, happy thoughts don't 'sell' the nightly news or the daily paper. The media is just another industry that knows exactly how to manifest what they want: Ratings and sales. And so, we read the emblazoned black words, gasp at the horrifying images, we hear the dark tones in the anchor's voice. We even buy the magazines and then re-live them with our loved ones. Misery loves company indeed. So I say: Down with misery! There is too much stress in our world to continue encouraging it. Stop assuming that 'no news is good news.' If that were true, why would we need broadcasters? Find more of the happy stories and more of the funny anecdotes. Write them down and spread the news everyday. Happy people find creative solutions to a problem and they rise up. Just like artists. We artists have our places in every industry. We are the problem solvers, historians, culture-builders, environmentalists, entertainers, animal conservationists, teachers, inspirers and dreamers. We encourage the light. Now, the next time you watch the news, read the paper and listen to friends you'll be wondering… where's the happy? Science says you can become the happy. Our world deserves it.
