The junior high group has been involved with a number of initiatives as of late, which include the following:
Camp Trip preparation: Each junior high group will be heading out for three day backpacking trips in early June. The trips will occur at the Point Campground at Upper Kananaskis Lake, which is a 4 km hike from the camp site. The students are responsible for packing their backpacks and planning and supplying all of their food for the camp.

Track and Field: We have approximately 15 athletes training for the Foothills Track and Field Meet on May 25th. The athletes are competing in sprint and long distance running as well as jumping and throwing events. We have been fortunate to have Mrs. Simard assisting with the coaching this year!

Calaway Park: The students are off to Calaway Park on May 27th for our annual science day activities. The students complete activities looking at mechanical systems and structures and forces while at the park.

We have also begun preparations for next years' elementary school cross country running program. We have had great success with our program and plan to host another successful race next year! Beginning this week, we will be starting our running practices for the children! We look forward to seeing many students out!
