Longview Link By Chey Nickerson

(Page 16)

This year Longview will try something new in the Village. On December 5th we will be hosting the  annual Christmas party and then we will be “lighting up” Longview with our synchronized Christmas tree/lights. Longview Village Council has moved forward with an upgrade to the light standards on Morrison Road so that they will have the capability of “light up” Christmas decorations for the season.  Hopefully this will be ready by December 5th. There will also be a tree in the Village Office yard that will be set up to commemorate those who have passed by purchasing a light for $25.00 or should you wish, you can make a donation at the office. Receipts will also be issued at the Village Office.
November 6th the youth group will be doing a bottle drive throughout the Village. Please place the bottles in an area accessible for pick up.
The firemen will also be collecting for the food bank at the beginning of November so also watch for updates on the sign boards in front of the Village Office for more information.
A special Thanks to Pastor George Teichroeb and all the volunteers who put on a wonderful evening at the School with supper and a musical evening with Sharky and Christine. A great time for all who attended and a wonderful chance to meet with neighbors after a busy summer and fall.
Chey
