Meet the AG Minister, the Honourable Evan Berger

Evan Berger, Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development, will speak on Agriculture: Opportunities and Issues in Alberta. Please join us for a presentation followed by Q. & A. Refreshments served. In November, your council attended the bi-annual AAMDC Conference. Related to our area, I was able to bring up concerns to our Transportation Minister about Hwy 762, the Calgary SW Ring Road and the Priddis Bridge file. Additionally, I spoke to our Minister of Municipal Affairs in support of legislation for 9-1-1 Cell fees to go to Public Safety Answer Points (PSAPs, 9-1-1 dispatch centres) and the E 9-1-1 Dispatch resolution, and Council collectively discussed our position on the Calgary Regional Partnership's plans.
