Rowan House - Strength, courage, hope, healing...

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE FOR THE 2012 HOPE AND HEALING GALA
Rowan House is getting set for its 2012 Hope and Healing Gala on May 5th, 2012 at the Highwood Memorial Centre in High River.

The theme this year is New Beginnings as the shelter will be very close to opening the doors on its new facility. “Community support over the past few years has gone a long way in helping Rowan House expand its services for women and children in the Foothills,” says Executive Director, Sherrie Botten, “but there is still a way to go.”
Rowan House requires an additional $300,000 to complete the building as well as $500,000 per year to operate at three times its current capacity.
You can help by purchasing a ticket to the 2012 gala. Individual tickets are $200 and friends' tables of eight are available for $1,400. Corporate tables with company recognition and special access to our Private Cocktail Reception are also available.
You can get them by calling the office at 403-938-6785 or by visiting www.rowanhouse.ca.
And, if you can't make it out, there are other ways you can help. Rowan House will also need furnishings for a seven bedroom home. It will need office furnishings for the staff that will support the women and children who will seek refuge there. It will need kitchen appliances, living room and client business centre furnishings, as well as a fully outfitted children's play area. We will need funding for a security system and outdoor fencing and landscaping.
Once again you can call the office for more information.
Rowan House is a registered non-profit society with charitable status and it relies on the support of community donors to continue it's programming and services. This is your opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of women and children. Without the amazing support of local businesses and individuals, Rowan House Emergency Shelter would not be able to protect the women and children of the rural Foothills.
